Thank you for joining us today! We hope you enjoy catching up with us. Feel free to leave comments on our blog. We would love to hear from you!

Chase is now a 5th grade reading buddy at school

One of the jobs of a 5th grader at ABS is to be a Reading Buddy to a student in Kindergarten. Miss Atherton emailed this picture to me today of Chase reading to his little buddy from KG named Cody. Chase has plenty of experience reading to his little brother. So, hopefully, Cody will enjoy spending some reading time with Chase this year.

What a great buddy! I can only imagine how important that little kindergartener felt when a 'big' kid like Chase came in. So precious!

Thanks, Kathryn! I am glad that Chase is getting the opportunity to serve others in this way. I think all children should be taught how to be good servants to others and not focus so much on what they want to do all the time. Faith and I have been talking about ways that our young people could do a little more of "serving others" at church. I wish our young people could get on some kind of rotation to do yard work or carry food to the sick and shut-in and things like that. (Get them involved more with not only learning to be servants to God, but to each other.) If you have any suggestions of how we could get something like that started, let me know.
